Mango has become in the last years the
icon brand for high street fashion style. We could say without any
exaggerations that the high street style is best featured and
illustrated by Mango’s collections. The winter 2012 collection is
again best represented by the gorgeous model Kate Moss. Once again
she agrees with taking on Mango’s image project, which can’t be
interpreted other than her passion for Mango’s clothing.
Just like in the case of past
collection, Mango divides quite clearly the subsections into
casual-sport, jeans, suit and evening. The lines are cool, sharp and
smart with architectural elements unveiled by the loose sleeves and
the fit loose waists. The statue solidness of jackets and coats
contrasts with the fluid silk and fitted cuts for the evening
dresses. The length for the dresses and pants, evening or
casual-sport is either mini or maxi. With this collection, Mango
expresses its utterly refined taste in urban outfits. The materials
are chosen attentively in order to best show the feminine body lines.
For example, the evening skirts and dresses in sequins are mini and
those in silk or velvet with lace are ankle long with slits for legs
showing. While the sleeves gain plenty of volume the waists are
cinched or greatly put in value by peplum details.
The spectacular Kate Moss (which by the
way she looks a decade younger and not within her 38 years) teams up
with Spanish giant in urban-cool fashion, to show the winter
collection clean lines used to create outfits that involve epaulets,
contrast piping, leather adornments smartly placed along the
trimming, patch pockets and military motifs for buttons and padded
garments. Kate Moss is looking striking in the military inspired
outfits featured in the Mango winter collection for 2012. To avoid
opulence, the luxurious lace is associated with velvet and silk and
used smartly to fill in cleavages, mostly deep back ones, or simply
trimming the edges,.
The colors mark for evening outfits is
elegant white and black combination with energy sources provided by
hot red and electric blue. The strapless mini dress in red with
exuberant peplum waist certainly makes the blood’s temperature to
rise in cold winter days. The stains of color come in olive and
khaki, used in neutral shades, associated with ghastly bordo. We
could say that the contemporary fashion taste for boho chic and
vintage is kept away from Mango’s winter collection for the 2012
season, or just discreetly implied by the oversized knit sweaters and
the skinny trousers in Arabic prints.
Once again, Mango has successfully set
trends in urban street fashion. The iconic pieces are, just like the
Brit model said, the butter-soft tuxedo matched with waist pleats or
slim fit pants and the mini black sequined jersey dress. She also
stated that the pointed court shoes with stiletto high heel, a pair
of skinny jeans and the tube fitted black skirt with leather
insertions are key clothing pieces that shouldn’t miss from any
fashionable women’s closet.
